I love doing badge trades!

Yesterday I drew this for Mary Minch. While I was still working on mine she drew her half of the trade:

For as far as I know both are inked with a brushpen and colored with copic markers (plus some colored pencil, in her case). Thanks Mary for the trade!

Commissioned sketches of a fat-tailed dwarf lemur character.

A gift drawing for Karpour of Tyler the thylacine

Wan Cai Lung the dragon, a drawing I did for the Eurofurence convention in Magdeburg. The original was donated to charity.
The character is from the annual Pawpetshow, of which I'll show more later!

The drawing as it hung in the lobby of the Maritim hotel. Our dog Dog is showing it off.

Happy easter!

Here's a drawing I did as a birthday gift for Karpour, of a thylacine (also known as Tasmanian tiger or wolf). I wanted to make a picture that was as accurate as possible, since they're kind of hard to find. You can read all about them here!

The colors on both the scan and the photo are very off but it gives you an idea.

Well, it's about time for an update, no?

I have many things to post, but I'll start with two interesting (collaborated) costume projects I did since I last posted here.

For this one (the dog, the badger was fully made by a friend), I can't take too much credit since most of the work was done by Karpour. Most of the work I did was on the head, like making the ears, tongue, and doing some fur trimming. It's funny how this costume came out to look like a mix between our drawing styles.

The other costume was definitely a lot more work, and Disney-fans might regocnise the character, since this basically is an over-the-top piece of fanart.

This one is a full collaboration between me and Karpour. We worked on everything together but basically I did most work on the hands and head, while he did the body, feet, and tail.
(The grey coyote on the right on this photo is an original character, the costume was built by Jill)
In case you don't recognise the character, here's some more info. We mostly based this on his first appearance, in The Legend of Coyote Rock, from 1945.

Just a standard pose duck sketched and inked on ustream, in three colored versions because I could not decide.

And here's something fun that I did not draw, it's my lemur 'character' Kiki drawn by 100 different people. I have more of these but I put 100 together to show the diversity, I love how everyone has his/her own way of picturing things!

Several of these were quick sketches done at conventions, most were trades/gifts and a few were commissions. I'll post a list with (nick)names of who drew what in the comments.

Another small update with recent things, since I'm still behind on updating this.

I've made this little reference sheet for friends who like to draw my character. However, I like people to just look at ring-tailed lemurs and be creative, rather than copying a model sheet. But at least it gives a nice view on the way I draw her now, compared to a few years ago.

Here's a little drawing for Louve, who drew me THIS! Isn't it lovely?

I also saw Ice Age 3 last night, and even though the story does not make much sense, it's stuffed with corny gags and I had some good laughs out of it. I tried to scribble Scrat out of memory right afterwards.

A small update with older drawings.
I drew these pictures for a friend who wanted to see his character (a tiny blue fox) being hunted by Bent-Tail, the coyote from Disney's 1945 short 'The legend of Coyote Rock'. (who also appeared in three later shorts and a comic, with a different look and a pup)

I could've done a better job at the coyote's face on the first one, but at least I tried to draw some background, which is something I really have to work on!

Well, I have been drawing recently, but I can't post most of it online, unfortunately.
In january/february I'll be making a trip to the US, and I hope to come back with a decently filled sketchbook!
